While attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, Raquel danced as junior member with Pacific American Ballet Theatre. It was at LACHSA that she began her Modern training under Ka-Ron Brown Lehman, an amazing choreographer and special teacher. After high school, she left to NYC with a full scholarship to Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Trainee Program. Since then, she has appeared with Houston's BalletForte and danced principle roles such as Dew Drop and Snow Queen with Southern California Dance Theatre, performed with Patrick Frantz's La Danserie, continues to dance with Media City Ballet of Los Angeles, and with Faux Pas Dance Company. She was also a featured Choreographer/Dancer in Media City Ballet's 2009 fundraiser, "A Dancer's Work." Raquel also holds a Bachelor's of Science in IT.
