Creations Dance Threatre was founded June of 2009. We wanted
to bring together dance from all genres and celebrate the ability
to express ourselves without words. Raquel Cordova (CEO) quickly
joined creative forces with Felicia Guzman (President). Both women
serve as the Artistic Directors and also dance with the company.

Raquel was born in Lima, Peru where she began her ballet training
at the age three. After moving to the United States, she continued
her studies with Meredith Baylis, former member of the Ballet
Russe de Monte Carlo. While attending the Los Angeles County High
School for the Arts, Raquel danced as junior member with Pacific
American Ballet Theatre. It was at LACHSA that she began her Modern
training under Ka-Ron Brown Lehman, an amazing choreographer and
special teacher. After high school, she was accepted into the
Boston Conservatory but left to NYC with a full scholarship to
Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Trainee Program. Raquel also holds
a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology, which served
very helpful in making this website ;)
Since then, she has appeared with Houston's BalletForte and danced
principle roles such as Dew Drop and Snow Queen with Southern
California Dance Theatre, performed with Patrick Frantz's La Danserie,
continues to dance with Media City Ballet of Los Angeles, and
with Faux Pas Dance Company. She was also a featured Choreographer/Dancer
in Media City Ballet's 2009, "A Dancer's Work." Her
motivation comes from years of loving all types of dance but her
strength and success is derived from God, her Husband and two
children.

Felicia Guzman was born and raised in San Antonio,
Texas where she trained at the Vladimir Marek Ballet Academy under
Vladimir Marek and Nancy Smith. As a member of the San Antonio
Ballet Junior Company, she danced roles in Sleeping Beauty, Swan
Lake, and Giselle. She also appeared in Ballet West’s local
productions of The Nutcracker. After receiving a Bachelor’s
degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT, Felicia relocated to
Southern California where she continued her training at Anna Cheselka
Dance Center and most recently at Media Dance Centre. She is also
a soloist with Media City Ballet and a member of the Kenneth Walker
Dance Project as well as guesting with other numerous Los Angeles
Companies.
The two woman first worked together in piece called
"Letting Go" for a show with Media City Ballet, choreographed
by Raquel. The piece was about two sisters dealing with the death
of their father. Felicia danced the role of the more level headed/
introverted sister, while Raquel played herself, unwilling to
deal with reality...incapable of letting go. They've been colaborating
together ever since.
