Mary Tarpley

Mary Tarpley began dancing under the tutelage of Frances Taylor in Durango, Colorado. She continued her training nationally and internationally at Interlochen Arts Academy and Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. She has performed,
choreographed, and produced dance all over the world. While dancing
for the Interlochen Dance Ensemble she danced the role of Sugar Plum Fairy in "The Nutcracker." Mary also co-choreographed and produced a jazz music collaboration project in Colorado, incorporating both her ballet and modern training. She performed at Saddler's Wells, LABAN, and Rambert while in London performing solos such as "Carmen," "Swan
Lake," and "Don Quixote" as well as numerous contemporary dance projects. She then danced with Compagnia Zappala in Italy before moving to Paris where she trained and danced at the Centre de Danse du Marais. Mary performed here in the US with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet
Company as "Clara" in "The Nutcracker" and has also danced with San Diego Ballet, State Street Ballet Santa Barbara, Amy Marshall Dance Company, Santa Monica Contemporary Ballet, Earthwalk Dance and many more. She has produced and choreographed several pieces and shows that have been performed in London, Michigan, Colorado, and most recently
at Dance Spot here in Los Angeles. As well as the stage, Mary has a passion for teaching; a passion to inspire future generations to experience and embrace the art form to its highest potential. She has taught for Ballet Durango, The Academy of Dance and Performing Arts,
Dance in the Rockies, and TarpleyBech Dance Company, to name a few. Mary hopes to continue her career as a performer, teacher, and choreographer for many years to come.
